Iosif Andriasov - Five Children's Songs for Soloist, Children's Choir and Piano, Op. 21

FROM THE BOOK: “ESSAYS ON THE MUSIC OF IOSIF ANDRIASOV” WRITTEN BY MARTA ANDRIASOVA (MARINA KUDRYASHOVA)

In 1970, the “Sovetsky Kompozitor,” a Publishing House in Moscow, USSR, published a collection “Goosel’ki” (“The Little Psaltery”) - songs and verses, written by various composers and poets for preschool and grade school students, drawings by V. Preobrazhensky and B Rytman. “The Promenade in the Town” was part of that collection: music by Iosif Andriasov (six songs for soloist and piano), verses and poetry by Mikhail Sadovsky:

1. “The Red Truck”

2. “In the Bus”

3. “Underground Train”

4. “The Merry-go-round”

5. “Song of the Taxi-Driver”

6. “Lullaby”

In 1980, Iosif Andriasov revised his songs, arranged some of them for soloists, children’s choir, and piano, or for children’s choir and piano, Opus 20. In 1995, Iosif Andriasov made a final revision of his songs.
